أعلنت قيادة تحالف دعم الشرعية في اليمن في بيان لها أن القوات المسلحة السعودية تصدت لمحاولات تسلل واختراق نفّذتها ميليشيات «الحوثي» وأنصار الرئيس المخلوع على عبدالله صالح بشكل متقطع أمس (السبت)، ما أسفر عن استشهاد ضابط وستة جنود فيما قُتل العشرات بين صفوف المعتدين. ونقلت «وكالة الأنباء السعودية» (واس) عن التحالف قوله أن «القوات المسلحة السعودية المرابطة على الحدود السعودية - اليمنية تصدت لميليشيات الحوثي والمخلوع صالح في ما يشكل خرقاً واضحاً للهدنة المتفق عليها بين الطرفين»، مشيرة إلى أنها «تكبدت خسائر في الأرواح والمعدات العسكرية بعد محاولات التسلل في منطقة الربوعة في قطاع نجران». وأضافت ان «طائرات التحالف أغارت على تجمعات للحوثيين قرب الشريط الحدودي، وأدّت العمليات القتالية التي شهدتها المنطقة عشرات من القتلى من المعتدين وتدمير المركبات العسكرية التابعة لهم، بينما استشهد ضابط وستة من أفراد القوات المسلحة السعودية». وأوضحت ان «القوات الجوية السعودية وطيران القوات البرية واصلت مطاردة فلول المتسللين وتطهير المنطقة الحدودية».

قال المرشح الجمهوري في انتخابات الرئاسة الأميركية دونالد ترامب أنه سيهاجم بضراوة في معركته ضد المرشحة الديموقراطية هيلاري كلينتون في سباقهما لدخول البيت الأبيض بعد تعرضه لهجوم لاذع من متحدثين خلال المؤتمر القومي لـ«الحزب الديموقراطي». واختتم ترامب جولة انتخابية استمرت خمسة أيام وشملت سبع ولايات في كولورادو أمس (الجمعة)، حيث هتف أنصاره لخامس يوم على التوالي «احبسها» كلما ورد ذكر اسم كلينتون. ويعتبر أنصار ترامب ان كلينتون تستحق المحاكمة بسبب أسلوب معالجتها للسياسة الخارجية الأميركية كوزيرة للخارجية خلال فترة الحكم الأولى للرئيس باراك أوباما ولاستخدامها خادم بريد إلكتروني خاصاً أثناء وجودها في منصبها. وسعى ترامب طوال الأسبوع لوقف هذه الهتافات بتأكيده على ان هدفه الأساسي هو ببساطة هزيمة كلينتون في الانتخابات الرئاسية في الثامن من تشرين الثاني (نوفمبر) المقبل. ولكن عندما هتف الحشد الشعار في كولورادو سبرينغز، تغاضى ترامب أخيراً عن ذلك. وقال «بدأت أتفق معكم بصراحة. السيد المهذب لم يعد موجوداً». وغيّر لهجته في دنفر في ما بعد عندما سمع الهتاف، فصرح «بأمانة أقول لكم ما سأفعله بدلاً من ذل...
